Minh Nhat is a Chemistry graduate student at the University of Notre Dame and an international student from Vietnam. He finished his undergraduate degree with a major in Biochemistry at Texas Christian University. His undergraduate research involved developing a virtual ab initio protocol combining cheminformatic descriptors and DFT calculations for the streamlined screening of the new antioxidant pyridinophane macrocycle drug candidates.
At Notre Dame, Minh Nhat studies the separation effect on enantiomers in shear flow and under circularly polarized light using the theory of molecular pitch, with a focus on high volume drugs.
