Hemanta Bhattarai is a graduate student in the Department of Physics at the University of Notre Dame, co-advised by Dan Gezelter and Kathie Newman. He did his undergraduate degree at St. Xavier's College in Nepal, and earned a Masters degree in Physics from Tribhuvan University with a background in Astrophysics.
Hemanta's research involves developing an atomistic polarizable model for noble metals that can be used to simulate the interactions between metals and non-metal adsorbates.
